I’ve been a professional photographer for several years as part of my day job as a communications strategist for a large government agency.  During that time, I’ve taken hundreds of headshot and thousands of event photos. Working with people and capturing the natural sparkle of their personalities brought me tremendous joy, so I decided to continue this work despite the government shut down of 2019.  Statement Imagery was born.  Although the shutdown has ended, Statement Imagery continues to serve clients.

In addition to photography, my other passion is acting in television, web series, and films.  I graduated from film school and have directed numerous projects.  Many actor friends have shown me less than stellar photographs that they spent a lot of money on.  As a photographer who is an actor, who has hired actors, I knew I was uniquely qualified to provide a great service to them.  For non-actors, my experience as a director and of being in front of a camera has enabled me to help those who are camera shy.  As a communications strategist, I understand the importance of personal branding and can help you define and capture yours during our shoot.
